The Texas Attorney General's Office will take over the case of Jenifer Cleveland, Freestone County District Attorney Brian Evans confirmed to 6 News on Friday, April 19.

Cleveland died in July 2023 after undergoing a procedure at the Luxe Med Spa in Wortham, Texas, according to police. An autopsy report listed the manner of Cleveland's death as "undetermined", but the Texas Medical Board stated Cleveland received an IV infusion containing Vitamin B complex, ascorbic acid, cyanocobalamin and TPN electrolytes.
