Upper East Side Plastic Surgeon Jailed for Performing Surgeries Without License

A notorious Upper East Side plastic surgeon who had his medical license revoked more than a decade ago was jailed Thursday for performing illegal surgeries.
State investigators indicted Brad Jacobs — who once billed himself as one of the most famous plastic surgeons in history — and Dr. Nicholas Sewell on charges they’d schemed to conduct illegal surgeries on more than 60 patients over four years.
One patient suffered “permanent disfigurement” from the surgery, according to New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.
“It is unconscionable that an unlicensed surgeon would take advantage of unsuspecting patients like this,” said Schneiderman.
