Hyaluronic Acid Fillers Proven to Stimulate Collagen

A new study published in the journal Dermatologic Surgery this month revealed that hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers provide sustained dermal remodeling and stimulate collagen production. The researchers found HA filler injections provide sustained clinical results and a measured increase in collagen in the small group of 40-year-old women studied. Each received HA filler injections in the nasolabial folds and preauricular regions of the face. Skin biopsies of the preauricular regions were performed prior to treatment and at three and nine months after the procedure.
