Wisconsin takes center stage

Happy Turkey Day! There’s so much to be thankful for here at AmSpa, especially for all of our Badgers who’ve signed up for the Wisconsin Med Spa Workshop next Friday, December 6th. Once the full agenda was released, a bunch of tickets were gobbled up immediately (you like the turkey reference? I was so proud of myself for coming up with it). And while I certainly don’t want to put any pressure on any prospective attendees, if you’re thinking about attending please sign up soon. This even will sell out. We intentionally limit the capacity of these events so that we have an intimate, engaging workshop. We’re already 2/3 full, so for any Midwesterners looking for a dynamic industry workshop, sign up today. For those of you on the fence, here are a couple of things that might sway your opinion.
Wisconsin Med Spa Laws and Regulations:
These are questions that not only confuse industry professionals, but also many lawyers. The truth is that there are several sticky legal issues that get overlooked by lawyers who are not familiar with med spa law. Wisconsin, like many other states, has specific laws addressing what med spas can and cannot do. Unfortunately, those laws are often unclear and difficult to find.
Fortunately, AmSpa’s Wisconsin Med Spa Workshop features several presentations from attorneys at Hall Render, one of Wisconsin’s premier law firms. Not only will you learn the nuances of what med spas can and cannot do under Wisconsin law, but you’ll have the opportunity to ask individual questions of the attorneys to get insight related to your specific situation. Laws and regs are AmSpa’s specialty, and this segment alone will be worth the price of admission.
Introducing PRP, Micro-needling, and Dermaplaning into your practice.
One segment we are truly excited about is our marketing and business development round table led by a panel of marketing experts and successful med spa owners. One issue they’ll discuss is how to introduce and market cutting edge treatments into your practice. Have you ever wanted to incorporate platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into your menu of services? What about micro-needling? Our panel has extensive experience in marketing these therapies and will help you incorporate them into your own practice.

Protecting Your Brand
How many of you have filed trademark applications for your logo? What about your domain name? And your marketing material – is it protected from misappropriation? One of the biggest mistakes my clients make is spending thousands of dollars on graphic design and marketing – not to mention hundreds of hours of their own time – without protecting their creations with trademarks. We’ve got a dynamic presentation on the basics of trademark law which is an absolute must for any business.
Maximizing Your Skin Care Business
If you’re not generating substantial revenue out of selling retail skincare products, you’re doing something wrong. Terri Wojak, Educator and Speaker Extraordinaire, has been helping med spas generate revenue from skin care sales for years. If you haven’t seen her presentation on Maximizing Your Skincare Business, it’s not to be missed.
