Membership FAQs

At AmSpa, we offer two tiers of membership: Our Basic membership is $345 for the year, and our Plus membership is $795. To learn more about the differences between them, visit our Membership Benefits page.

The first thing we recommend you do is take a look at your state legal summary. It can be found here. After you have a better understanding of the laws in your state, if you have any additional questions, please reach out to set up your consult.

From there, take a look at our upcoming live webinars to see what topics will be covered soon. You can find the webinar schedule and library here.

From the website, go to the navigation bar and click the "Med Spa Laws" menu and then click "State Legal Summaries. From there, click "My Legal Summaries" and you'll be asked to log in, and then taken to a page with links to your member resources. First things first, make sure you are signed in to your membership. If you are not, you will see a button in the top right corner that says “Login.” Follow this prompt.

Just signed up/upgraded my membership: If you recently became a member or recently upgraded your membership and are unable to get into your state legal summary, do not fret. Our database is not always able to update groups automatically. Please reach out to us directly at (312) 981-0993 or Contact Us and we will get you squared away.

At AmSpa, we pride ourselves on having the most up-to-date legal information for the medical spa industry. However, the translation from legalese to the common tongue may not always be easy to understand. If you see anything in your state legal summary that is confusing, vague or you feel may be inaccurate, please reach out to us directly so we can address your concerns. (312) 981-0993 or Contact Us.

Each state legal summary is a living document that is updated every time new legislation is passed. To ensure you are working from the most up to date information, always refer to the summary on the website.

When filling out a registration, computers with autofill features may cause you to sign up for your state more than once. If this happens, please reach out to our main office to have it fixed (312) 981-0993 or Contact Us.

At AmSpa, membership is based on the individual, not the company. If your boss is a member, this does not make you a member. However, if your boss is a Plus Member, they may chose to create a subaccount for you to share in the membership. For more information on upgrading your membership, please see “How can I upgrade my membership?"

For convenience, each AmSpa membership is set up to automatically renew when your year of membership has come to an end. You will be notified via email twice before the next year's dues are charged to the card connected to your account.

If for any reason you do not wish to renew your membership, you may simply delete the open invoice by going to "Manage Profile" in the top right corner, clicking "Invoices," and then clicking the red "X" next to the open invoice on your account. As part of your AmSpa Plus membership, you can create subaccounts for your staff members so they are able to utilize your membership. In order to get them set up, login to your account on the AmSpa website and, on your My Legal Summaries page, click "Edit My Profile. There you will see a link to "Clik here to manage your additional employees (if applicable)".

On the next page click the "Roster" button.

Then click "Add Plus Employee"

At AmSpa, we are happy to offer free live webinars to both our AmSpa Basic and AmSpa Plus members. As long as you are registered for the webinar, you will receive a link to a recording of the webinar to your email by the following business day. This recording will be available to view for three days, but you must register for the webinar beforehand in order to receive the recording.

Once you have landed on the page, click "Join Group." A form will appear with a few questions for you to answer. Once you have submitted your form, our social media admins will review your form and grant you access within one business day. There are two reasons you may have been removed from our AmSpa Member Lounge: Your membership has recently expired, or you have violated one of the ground rules for group conduct.

To rejoin if your membership has expired, simply renew your membership by logging onto our website and clicking "Manage Profile" in the top right corner. From there, you can click "Membership" and securely renew your membership. Once renewed, simply return to the AmSpa Member Lounge, request access and fill out the required form for entry, and we will have you back in within the next business day.

We do have ground rules for the AmSpa Member Lounge and any violation of these rules may result in suspension. If you continue to repeatedly break the rules, you may be removed permanently. Despite membership, vendors are not allowed access in to the AmSpa Member Lounge. If you think you’ve been removed on accident, please contact us at (312) 981-0993.

If you wish to take advantage of your membership benefit with CareCredit (20% merchant fees over $200), please reach out to your CareCredit representative and let them know you are a member of AmSpa. Your CareCredit rep will be able to verify your membership and get you started. If for any reason your rep is unable to verify your membership or the benefit, please reach out to us directly at (312) 981-0993 or Contact Us.

It is very easy to take advantage of your member discount benefits. Be sure you are signed into your membership before placing your order, and the discount will be deducted automatically! If you encounter any difficulty, please reach out to our main line at (312) 981-0993.

Our Welcome and Renewal packets are fulfilled and shipped on a rolling basis. You can expect to see your Welcome Packet in the mail within two weeks of initiating your membership, depending on shipping time. We do not ship Welcome Packets outside of the US.
