There are a few factors that can contribute to a bigger butt—such as genetics, a fitness and nutrition regimen structured for that goal, or cosmetic surgery options. But injectable fillers from anyone other than a licensed medical professional in a medical setting is not one we’d recommend.
Cardi B revealed in a new interview with GQ that about four years ago, she got butt injections in someone’s basement for $800. "It was the craziest pain ever,” the 25-year-old recalled of the excruciating procedure, which she says involved zero numbing. “I felt like I was gonna pass out. I felt a little dizzy.” The Bronx-raised rapper said she experienced leakage for about five days following the injections.
“I’m telling you, we hear about this kind of thing every couple weeks,” Peter Taub, M.D., professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (who did not treat Cardi B), tells SELF.
