We know there is a lot of information (and misinformation) out there about the Coronavirus, officially named COVID-19, and how to handle the HR challenges that it is causing in the workplace. Families First Coronavirus Response Act Guidance and FAQ
It’s official—the federal government has passed emergency legislation, called the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, in response to the present outbreak of Coronavirus/COVID-19.
The bill was signed into law by President Trump on March 18, 2020, and will take effect 15 days after the date of that signature (April 2).
The law requires employers to provide eligible employees with paid sick leave and paid family leave under certain specific circumstances related directly to the impact of Coronavirus.
