A new law has passed in Connecticut that requires medical spas to employ a physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse by contract or on staff. Those practitioners also are required to make an assessment before any medical procedure takes place. The new law also makes it illegal to hold procedures in a party-like atmosphere, such as Botox parties, due to attendees potential inability to make clear consent decisions in this atmosphere.
