This LEED-certified, carbon-neutral South Beach sanctuary is set along a pristine, 600-foot stretch of white sand beaches. Home to 7 different restaurants, serving a variety of locally sourced cuisines, the 1 Hotel South Beach has something for everyone. Since launching the company as a two-person operation in 2005, she has grown it to a five-location enterprise employing more than 58 staff members. Thanks to her bold leadership, the company remains in a growth phase with plans to open two additional locations in2022, including an expanded, state-of-the-art flagship store. GMS was recognized as one of fastest growing companies by Inc. 5000 for 2020 and 2019, and the Greenwich and Westport locations were named Best Medical Spa by readers of Greenwich Lifestyle and Westport Lifestyle magazines, respectively. Before founding GMS, Pooya had a successful career as a high-yield Analyst on Wall Street with Alex Brown & Sons Inc. and Lehman Brothers. As the director of product development and marketing for cosmetics with Momtaz Co., Inc., she developed and managed two distinct color cosmetic brands targeting contemporary and niche demographic segments in international and domestic markets. Carrie Strom is senior vice president, AbbVie, and president, Global Allergan Aesthetics, and has served in this role since May 2020. Prior to joining AbbVie, she served as senior vice president of U.S. Medical Aesthetics at Allergan beginning in May 2018, overseeing the aesthetic portfolio for the multi-billion-dollar U.S. business. Previously, Strom was vice president of marketing, plastic surgery and regenerative medicine at Allergan, and she was instrumental in the $2.8-billion acquisition and integration of LifeCell. Before Allergan, Strom spent more than 10 years at Pfizer, where she led marketing for a leading statin and held various other sales and marketing roles. She is an advocate for women in business and sits on the board for the Orange County chapter of the Girls Inc. organization.
