Samuel Shatkin Jr., M.D. is a board certified plastic surgeon and director of the Aesthetic Associates Centre for Plastic Surgery and Advanced Skin Care. In private practice since 1989, he performs all aspects of aesthetic plastic surgery, both surgical and non-surgical treatments including Botox, fillers, laser rejuvenation and liquid facelifts, and is the medical director of Trés Auraé Spa.
Buffalo native Joni Shatkin is the proprietor of the Trés Auraé Spa (pronounced tray awray) in the lobby of the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Williams­ville, NY, just ½ mile from her husband’s plastic surgery center. She has an extensive background in marketing, public relations and business, earning her bachelor’s degree in business from SUNY Buffalo.
While Dr. Shatkin’s staff had performed medi-spa facials on clients and patients at his Aesthetic Centre for many years, it was when he and his wife were approached by the Wyndham hotel owner to open a spa in the hotel that the idea of creating a true plastic surgery/​medispa experience came to fruition.
